KDAB has continued their interesting blog series about Qt3D 2.0 and what's coming for this new component to Qt5.

Since last month KDAB has been doing an overview of Qt3D 2.0 and is multiple parts. Published this week was the latest blog post and it covers shadow mapping in Qt3D 2.0.

Qt3D 2.0 will allow to configure the renderer for custom rendering techniques and for this blog post they cover doing shadow mapping with the new Qt3D component to demonstrate a custom rendering effect. The sample code for this demo is also included.

Head on over to KDAB.com if you want to learn more about Qt3D 2.0, which should be merged for the upcoming Qt 5.5 release if all goes well.
