Phoronix Been Loading Slow? It Is Hopefully Better Now

PHORONIX
You may have noticed in recent days and particularly today that the Phoronix site speed has been rather slow... If you are reading this, you should be now accessing the new Phoronix server.

Particularly since this morning the Phoronix.com response times have been poor with Apache acting rather wonky. Thus with the current Phoronix.com server being around 16 months old and powered by Haswell, I figured the best solution is to start fresh on a new and faster Skylake server with a fresh CentOS install.

I already have the new dedicated server provisioned in the data-center and currently configuring it. I expect to begin transitioning Phoronix.com over to the new server in the next few hours. So this might be the last post from the old server.

So today might be a bit slow on news but by mid-day Saturday I hope everything will be back to normal with much faster page loading and no time outs. Stay tuned! If after a few days you still see this article as the most recent posting on Phoronix, there are some name server troubles and please contact me via Twitter, etc.

Update: If you are seeing this, you should now be on the new Phoronix server... Let us know if you run into any issues. Thanks and sorry for any inconvenience.
