PREMIUM --
This week marks Phoronix.com turning twelve years old! I've been working on a number of special articles and such for publishing in June, but to get things started here's a special for you.

On Sunday, 5 June, is when Phoronix.com officially turns 12! As it's been several months since I last ran any special promotions for becoming Phoronix Premium, I decided to run a special this week in celebration of Phoronix turning 12 for those not able to afford the normal price of premium subscriptions.

So for all of this week, I'm lowering the prices on Phoronix premium subscriptions. For only this week, annual premium subscriptions can be had for just $20 USD! This is the lowest annual price I've ever offered for access to our ad-free site that also shows multi-page articles on a single page. Normally the annual cost of being premium is $35 USD, so just this week is a savings of nearly half-off.

UPDATE:Just to be clear, this promotion ends at 23.59 EST on 6 June... Basically if you submit through midnight your local time on Monday 6 June, I will still honor the premium deal.

Our lifetime premium subscriptions this week will be honored at $100 USD, normally a $150 investment for having permanent premium access.

These premium deals have never been offered this low before, so take advantage this week if you want to get access to our premium version of the site while the funds generated are used to keep the site running with operational expenses, purchase new hardware for Linux review/benchmarking, and cover other costs. Pay-per-impression advertisements and premium subscriptions are the only forms of revenue that keep Phoronix.com going, so we rely upon your help to either be a premium member or view this site without an ad-blocker.

To take advantage of these birthday deals, first ensure you are registered on the Phoronix Forums as the forums are what handles the subscription/user management aspect. There isn't any integrated sales support in there so the normal prices of premium subscriptions are listed there still. To get the discounted deals of $20 for a year subscription or $100 for a lifetime subscription, PayPal the amount of money to michael@phoronix.com (or you can use this PayPal link; Bitcoin is also accepted in which case email me to the above address once you've made the equivalent payment in BTC). Sending any amount extra will be treated as a birthday tip, thanks! Then within a few minutes (or hours, if I'm sleeping), I'll manually have activated your forum account to premium status. If your payment email address is different from your forum's registered email address, please include your forum username when making payment.

That should cover all of the bases. If any questions feel free to contact me or comment on this article in the forums. Thanks for your support of Phoronix over the past 12 years. If you aren't able to become a premium subscriber, please at least view the site without ad-blockers and/or be sure to share our content on Twitter and Facebook. Stay tuned for more special Phoronix content as the birthday week continues.
