The PC-BSD developers responsible for their new Lumina desktop environment have released a new version of their custom interface.

Lumina Desktop 0.8.3 is today's new release and it's mostly about bug-fixing -- including an important fix for the system tray in conjunction with FreeBSD 11. The Lumina Desktop 0.8.3 release also has a new panel plug-in as an application launcher, a new lumina-xconfig utility to adjust displays, and adds support for the XDG auto-start specification.

Lumina users wishing to find out more about the new desktop release can visit the PCBSD.org blog.
