NVIDIA 285.05.09 Linux Driver Pre-Release

Posted by Michael Larabel on October 03, 2011

As was pointed out in the forums, new binary NVIDIA Linux drivers were pushed out today. The new version is the 285.05.09 pre-release.

Among the changes in this new NVIDIA proprietary driver for x86/x86_64 Linux is GeForce GT 520MX support, support for X.Org Server ABI 11, and various bug fixes. Among the bug-fixes are ones that deal with causing some applications to hang on exit, flickering, ION issues, poor OpenGL performance after monitor hot-plugging, and text corruption.

The download links for the NVIDIA 285.05.09 pre-release are in the aforementioned forum thread.
