Posted by Michael Larabel on June 23, 2011

There wasn't any Thunderbird 4.0 mail client release, but now that Firefox 5.0 is out there, Mozilla Messaging has announced the second and final beta release of Mozilla Thunderbird 5.0.

Among what's new in Thunderbird 5.0, which is powered by the Firefox 5.0 engine, is a new add-ons manager, improvements to tabs, a revised account creation wizard, plug-ins can now be loaded in RSS feeds by default, interface fixes, and numerous bug-fixes.

The release notes with details in full about Thunderbird 5.0 can be found at MozillaMessaging.com.
