Chris Wilson has just tagged the second release candidate of xf86-video-intel 2.15.0.
The xf86-video-intel 2.15.0 should be released within the next two weeks or so and is Intel's quarterly X.Org driver update. The 2.15 release isn't particularly exciting with more of the interesting work these days living within the Intel DRM and Mesa components.
There's only three official bug-fixes since the first release candidate at the beginning of the month. The fixes include clients disappearing, incorrect clipping of X-Video output on i915 across extended desktops, and a LinearFramebuffer X option has been added.
The LinearFramebuffer option controls whether the memory for the front-buffer is allocated in linear memory or not. A tiled frame-buffer is used by default for power conservation and better performance, but some may have better luck using a linear frame-buffer if encountering problems.
