KDE Software Compilation 4.5 RC2 Is Out

Posted by Michael Larabel on July 08, 2010

Version 4.5 of the KDE SC (Software Compilation) is just weeks away from being formally released as the six-month refresh to this multi-platform, open-source desktop stack. KDE SC 4.5 brings a lot of new features and improvements to the table, but if you're too impatient to wait around or want to see that this release comes together nicely, the second release candidate is now available for testing.

The KDE SC 4.5 RC2 release announcement can be read at KDE.org. KDE SC 4.5 features a reworked notification area, KWin tiling support, WebKit support for Konqueror (KHTML support remains), and stability improvements, among other changes.
