Mesa 7.6 Released, Mesa 7.5 Updated Too

Posted by Michael Larabel on September 28, 2009

Just as planned, Mesa 7.6.0 has been released and Mesa 7.5.2 has also been released as a bug-fix in the 7.5 series. The mailing list announcements for Mesa 7.5.2 and 7.6.0 can be read here and here, respectively.

Mesa 7.6 brings plenty of changes that we have talked about before, among which are a number of new OpenGL extensions, the rewritten Radeon driver, many new Radeon driver improvements, and the initial version of the Gallium3D llvmpipe driver. Mesa 7.7 is already under development.
