GNOME 2.26.2 Desktop Released

The second to the last planned maintenance update in the GNOME 2.26 series has been released. GNOME 2.26.2 just brings the usual assortment of bug fixes and translation updates, while all major work on this free software desktop environment is now focused on GNOME 2.28.

The GNOME 2.26.2 release announcement can be read on the GNOME mailing list. There are many changes in this release between all of the different GNOME packages, but they are pretty much all fixes so hit up the mailing list link for more details on specific bug fixes.

The final planned release in the GNOME 2.26 series is 2.26.3, which is planned for unveiling on the first of July. The release of GNOME 2.28.0 is expected to be out on the 21st of September.
