If you're not a developer but looking to help out a free software project, the Fedora Project is working on their codename for Fedora 11
. Until the 8th of December they are looking for the community to propose what they think would be a great name for this next Fedora release. Following that, the Fedora board will evaluate the different names, the Red Hat legal department will ensure there are no issues, and then community voting will take place. The official codename will be announced on the 10th of January.
Among the names proposed thus far are Claddagh, Catania, Windsor, Oxford, Nebula, Claypool, Gokyo, and Zampone. The list of proposed names can be found on the Fedora Wiki
. From that Wiki page you can also add your own submission.
The first alpha release for Fedora 11 will occur towards the end of January and there are already five features planned
