While it will still be a few weeks before the Linux 2.6.26 kernel is out the door, once the commit window for Linux 2.6.27 opens up there is a lot to get excited about -- especially kernel-based mode-setting. Also of benefit to driver developers in Linux 2.6.27 will be the inclusion of MMioTrace.
