Posted by Michael Larabel on May 23, 2008

With two weeks having passed since the release of WINE 1.0-rc1, coming out of WINE HQ this morning is WINE 1.0-rc2. As the WINE development tree is now in a code freeze towards the forthcoming WINE 1.0 release next month, this second release candidate merely contains bug fixes. Specifically, this new release has 123 bug fixes. Download links and all of the fixes can be read about in the release announcement. There are currently 26 bugs left before reaching the 1.0 milestone, which is coming 15 years after this project was first conceived. WINE 1.0 is planned for release in June.
