This morning AMD has introduced their new cutting-edge PC platform that's codenamed "Spider". The Spider platform consists of AMD's Phenom quad-core processors, ATI Radeon HD 3800 graphics
, and the AMD 7-series chipsets. The AMD Phenom processors are quad-core and based upon Direct Connection Architecture with an embedded memory controller with DDR2-1066 support and shared L3 cache. More information on the new AMD Phenom processors and chipsets can be found in today's press release
