NVIDIA has shared some details on their Vulkan driver that will be released later in the year.

Last month at SIGGRAPH was a presentation by NVIDIA's Brian Warner about Vulkan itself and how NVIDIA will be implementing Vulkan support. The video/audio/slides were recorded and are available for viewing; the video was uploaded shortly after SIGGRAPH but it wasn't pointed out to us by Khronos until this morning, and judging by the low views, it looks like not many others know about it either yet.

The hour-long presentation covers Vulkan in detail and also shows off some Windows demos using NVIDIA's Vulkan driver. Apparently their Vulkan driver is in good enough shape that the driver is currently available to Khronos members under NDA. However, after the Vulkan specification is released later this year, NVIDIA will be publishing the Vulkan driver on their web-site. It sounds like NVIDIA will do a same-day Vulkan driver release as the spec release, which they've formed a habit of doing as well with their OpenGL driver updates.

Like their same-day OpenGL driver updates, Linux binaries alongside the Windows beta drivers is pretty much a given. We also know LunarG/Valve plan to release the open-source Intel Vulkan Linux driver on the same day as the Khronos spec release too. The only uncertainty right now is whether AMD will have a same-day Vulkan driver release that supports Linux.

Other recent Vulkan demos include an Intel demo, the popular PowerVR Android Vulkan demo, and other recent exciting Vulkan news.
