While we knew it was coming given that Mesa core has gone from OpenGL 3.3 compliance to OpenGL 4.1, the commit finally happened this Saturday for making it Mesa 11.0.

Mesa Git master was known as Mesa 10.7-dev, but now it's been renamed to Mesa 11.0-dev to continue in the tradition of bumping the major Mesa version number when reaching a new OpenGL milestone.

Emil Velikov landed the 11.0 bump in Git a few minutes ago. Mesa 11.0 is expected to be released as stable in September. So far the RadeonSI (when having LLVM 3.7+) and Nouveau NVC0 drivers are exposing OpenGL 4.1 compliance while the Intel i965 DRI driver is still working towards finishing up the necessary GL 4.0 extensions. It's unclear whether the Radeon R600g driver will reach OpenGL 4.0~4.1 in time for September. Details at MesaMatrix.net.
