Following this morning's branching of Mesa 10.6 and pushing Git master to Mesa 10.7, the Mesa 10.6 Release Candidate 1 is now available.

Emil Velikov announced the first release candidate shortly after the branching to the Mesa-announce list. Mesa 10.6 RC2 is expected on 22 May, Mesa 10.6 RC3 on 29 May, and the official release (or Mesa 10.6 RC4 if needed) on 5 June -- just so happens that's the day Phoronix turns eleven years old.

Those unfamiliar with the big changes in this quarterly update to Mesa can read our Mesa 10.6 articles while our feature overview, fresh benchmarks, and more are forthcoming on Phoronix.
