PHORONIX
Another weekly milestone development snapshot of the open-source Phoronix Test Suite Linux/BSD/OSX/Solaris/Windows benchmarking software is now available. The official Phoronix Test Suite 5.4 release should be out in the next two weeks.

As with the other recent PTS 5.4 "Lipki" development releases, most of the focus this cycle has been on the next-generation, open-source version of the Phoromatic Server that's now part of the Phoronix Test Suite code-base. The Phoromatic client is also largely rewritten for this new Phoromatic Server implementation that's still taking shape but is production ready for PTS 5.4-Lipki.

Changes landed in the past week for Phoronix Test Suite 5.4 Milestone 6 include:

- Improvements to phoronix-test-suite make-download-cache.

- Various bug fixes.

- Improvements to the phoromatic-server and phoromatic-client Upstart and systemd job/service files.

- A "Run Test Schedule Now" button from test schedule pages on the Phoromatic Server to allow easy one-time/manual testing.

- Improvements to the "rootadmin" page for the root administrator to adjust various Phoromatic Server settings from the web user interface.

- An "upload results to OpenBenchmarking.org" option on each account's Phoromatic Server settings page.

- Many other improvements to the Phoromatic Server and Phoromatic client module.

At the moment the official Phoronix Test Suite 5.4 release will most likely take place on Tuesday, 2 December. Your last minute testing is encouraged -- download our open-source, fully automated benchmarking at Phoronix-Test-Suite.com or better yet when using the development snapshots is following our Phoronix-Test-Suite on GitHub.
