Linus Torvalds is back to doing Sunday afternoon releases of the Linux kernel with today seeing the introduction of Linux 3.16-rc3.

Being weeks past the 3.16 merge window, most of the Linux 3.16 kernel work is just minor bug fixes and regression fixes collected over the past week. Overall things are looking good with Linux 3.16 gaining many new features.

The Linux 3.16-rc3 release announcement can be read on the Indiana kernel mailing list.
