Unvanquished Alpha 30 Has Vertex Data Optimizations, In-Game Improvements

The 30th monthly alpha release to the promising Unvanquished open-source first person shooter is now available.

In-game improvements with Unvanquished Alpha 30 includes new armory model, a new hive model, a new beacon system, and weapon intertia is more realistic. For its "Daemon" game engine are also vertex data optimizations and numerous bug-fixes. The vertex data optimizations should lead to more efficient vertex attributes and thus less GPU memory usage per model and potentially performance increases.
