Codemasters Will Eventually Port Games To Linux
Codemasters, the game studio behind many popular PC racing games, eventually plans to support Linux.
In a discussion at SteamCommunity.com, Codemasters was asked about any Linux support, to which one of their developers responded, "We'd love to support Linux, is a matter of when not if and for what titles."
That's not too much of a huge surprise given Valve's efforts in pushing other game studios to support Linux, especially in the time of SteamOS and Steam Machines. Codemasters has been around since 1986 and based in Britain. Among their many titles over the years have been F1 2013, Grid 2, Grand Prix Simulator, TOCA Race Driver, Overlord, and Operation Flashpoint. Embedded below is a preview of their new Grid Autosport game.
