We've been waiting for it and today the Transmageddon 1.0 release finally took place for the open-source audio/video transcoder application.

Transmageddon 1.0 takes advantage of new GStreamer APIs for its transcoding processes. Among the new features found in version 1.0 of this GNOME-oriented utility include support for files with multiple audio streams, DVD ripping support, support for setting language information on files, enabled VP9 video format support, and other small improvements. There's also some UI improvements too.

More details on Transmageddon 1.0 can be found via Christian Schaller's blog.
