EXT4, XFS File-System Changes For Linux 3.13 Kernel
Earlier today the F2FS file-system "major enhancements" were merged for the Linux 3.13 kernel and now we have pull requests issued for EXT4 and XFS file-system updates.
The XFS file-system changes aren't particularly exciting for this mature file-system and its a "random assortment" of work. There's been code that's re-arranged to make libxfs sync with the kernel, other blocks of code changed up, and other bug-fixes and clean-ups.
The XFS file-system pull request for the Linux 3.13 merge window can be found on the kernel mailing list.
The EXT4 pull request was also sent in but it's not particularly exciting. The EXT4 changes also come down to mostly general work and maintenance, but there is a performance regression fix. The EXT4 pull request for Linux 3.13 can be found with this LKML message.
