Reiser4 File-System Now Works For Linux 3.13 Kernel
For the devout fans of the Reiser4 file-system, the latest out-of-tree patches are now available so this open-source FS works on the Linux 3.13 kernel.
On Wednesday the latest Reiser4 file-system patch was published that adjusts the previous patch so it's compatible with the Linux 3.13.1 kernel over differences in the fs-writeback area. Besides from updating the kernel compatibility from Linux 3.12.6 to Linux 3.13.1, there's no major bug-fixes or other Reiser4 improvements.
The latest Reiser4 file-system patches for the mainline Linux kernel continue to be hosted on SourceForge. There's still no near-term plans for mainlining the Reiser4 file-system into the Linux kernel until there's any vendor willing to back the work.
