The latest Linux 3.14 kernel activity is the Intel MID update.

The Intel MID (Mobile Internet Device) platform updates for the Linux 3.14 kernel include supporting Merrifield and Clovertrail platforms. Clovertrail has been around for a while but Merrifield is Intel's new smart-phone architecture focused on Android. Merrifield has a 22nm Atom SoC and it's expected to start appearing this quarter.

More details on the 64-bit Intel Merrifield for high-end x86_64 smart-phones are expected next month during the always-interesting Mobile World Congress. Intel began pushing Merrifield Linux patches a few months ago.

The Intel MID platform changes for the Linux 3.14 kernel can be found via this pull request.
