Cities In Motion Will Be Coming To Linux
Paradox Interactive announced today that the Cities in Motion game franchise will be steaming ahead to Linux.
Cities in Motion is a business simulation game published by Paradox Interactive and developed by Colossal Order. Cities in Motion is about simulating public transportation systems for the cities of Amsterm, Berlin, Helsinki, and Vienna. Up to this point the unique game has only been available for Windows and OS X since first launching in 2011.
At the same time as announcing a new expansion for Cities in Motion 2, Marvellous Monorails, the publisher announced complete Linux support for the Cities in Motion franchise. The CEO of Paradox Interactive, Fredrik Wester, said they believe in Linux as "a platform for the future of gaming."
There's no word at the moment when the Linux game releases will begin, but at least it will please those Linux gamers looking for more than just another run of the mill FPS or RPG. The Linux game announcement was made via this press release.
