Unvanquished Alpha 19 Carries New Features

Unvanquished, one of the most promising open-source games when it comes to delivering compelling graphics and technology compared to its open-source competition, is out with its monthly alpha update.

Unvanquished Alpha 19 was released this afternoon and it's significant in that they have merged their new gameplay code, which was a development branch that now makes the overall gameplay significantly different compared to Tremulous, the game from which it was originally derived.

The Unvanquished game, which is powered by the "Daemon" engine, also now uses SSE vertex skinning by default for greater performance, and there's other performance improvements. A lot of assorted fixes have also went into this release along with various translation updates.
