One week after the release of KDE Software Compilation 4.11, Plasma Media Center 1.1 has been officially released. With this updated KDE multimedia interface comes YouTube integration, improvements to ease of use, and much more.

Making Plasma Media Center 1.1 easier to use is complete keyboard/remote-like keys support, better keyboard navigation, and Places has been integrated into the browsing flow.

Aside from YouTube integration, KDE Plasma Media Center 1.1 also has a better playlist and many other smaller features. More details on KDE PMC 1.1 can be found via the KDE.org release announcement.

Meanwhile, Plasma Media Center 1.2 is already in planning with a completely redesigned "All Music" mode, improved settings screen, search support for local file browsing, and folder previews.
