Valve Celebrates Steam For Linux

In addition to word that Garry's Mod is soon being released for Linux, there's some more positive Valve/Steam Linux news to share today.

Valve Software has announced the "Steam For Linux Celebration Sale" that runs until next Thursday, 21 February. Most of the titles being distributed right now on Steam with Linux ports are part of this sale that are as much as 75% off their original price.

Among the many deals to be had right now are Counter-Strike Source for just $4.99, Killing Floor for $6.80, Trine 2 for $3.74, Half-Life for $2.49, Serious Sam 3 BFE for $7.99 at an 80% discount, and Postal 2 Complete for just $7.49. Valve is also giving Linux gamers on the free-to-play Team Fortress 2 a free Tux in-game item through the end of the month.
