Here's an update on the Mir
display server changes and the adjoining next-generation Unity 8 user-interface that were made to end out May.
Similar to the week prior
, the main focus is on enabling a working Unity 8 UI and to have it be running atop Mir. The Mir-powered Unity 8 is still a work in progress in getting it to feature parity with the current Unity 7 interface atop X.
Some of the work accomplished last week were killing a couple Mir bugs, modifications to allow for performance debugging under Mir, still wroking to support composition bypass, and more of the Unity 8 user-interface coming together.
More details on the Unity 8 / Mir weekly work can be found via the ubuntu-devel list
with its weekly status updates.
