The GStreamer VA-API plug-ins have been updated with support for the GStreamer 1.0.x API.

Gwenole Beauchesne has announced the release of gstreamer-vaapi and with this new v0.5.3 release comes support for the GStreamer 1.0.x API. Additionally, gstreamer-vaapi 0.5.3 brings fixes for Fedora 17, a vaapidecode fix, fallback for software decoding if no hardware decoder is present, and a regression fix.

Friday's release announcement of gstreamer-vaapi 0.5.3 can be found on gstreamer-devel.
