Join In On Testing Out KDE 4.9 Tomorrow

Posted by Michael Larabel on November 14, 2012

One week after having a GNOME test day for the Fedora camp, it's time to test out KDE SC 4.9 to improve the upstream KDE desktop stack before it's found in Fedora.

The KDE Plasma Workspace 4.9 test day is to test areas such as hardware integration with printers and Bluetooth and the battery applet to seeing that the KDE desktop is shining in all areas and that the KDE applications are also in good shape.

While this testing is organized within the Fedora camp, the bug-fixes and changes they make as a result of the KDE desktop testing all land back upstream so the Linux desktop as a whole is improved and not just Fedora KDE users. Special LiveCDs have been spun too for make for an easy testing process on the same software stack.

Details on tomorrow's KDE 4.9 test day can be found on the Fedora Project Wiki.
