Two months after
openSUSE 12.2 was released for x86 architectures, the gold master images are now available for ARM with flavors for the popular ARM SoC development boards.
OpenSUSE 12.2 for ARM is officially supported on the BeagleBoard, PandaBoard, Versatile Express (QEMU), and as a normal chroot. There's also limited support for the Calxeda Highbank, i.MX53 Loco, CuBox, Origen Board, and Efika MX. There's nearly 5000 openSUSE packages available for ARM.

OpenSUSE has been preparing for
a low-power battle and back at the
openSUSE Conference in Prague they shared
how to port the distribution to new ARM devices.
