Counter-Strike Source Now On Steam For Linux

Posted by Michael Larabel on February 05, 2013

Counter-Strike 1.6 for Linux was released towards the end of January while this evening Counter-Strike Source has finally been brought to Linux over Steam.

For those that have previously owned Counter-Strike Source or are looking to buy it now that it's come to Linux, fire up your Steam client now. The native Linux port of Counter-Strike Source has finally been made available to join Team Fortress 2, Half-Life, Counter-Strike 1.6, and other Valve Software titles being brought to Linux.

Hopefully next up will be Counter-Stike Global Offensive and the rest of the Valve catalog as they prepare for the Linux-based Steam console release before the end of the calendar year.
