Calligra 2.6 Released

Posted by Michael Larabel on February 05, 2013

Version 2.6 of the KDE-focused Calligra office suite was released today.

Calligra 2.6 introduces Calligra Author as a new program for authoring ebooks from concept to publication. This initial release of Calligra Author is quite similar to the Calligra Words as the ebook authoring application was derived from its word processor. Currently supported ebook formats include EPUB2 and MOBI.

Other Calligra programs like Words, Sheets, Stage, and Flow all received many improvements too through the Calligra 2.6 cycle. For more details see the extensive release information on the open-source Calligra 2.6 software at Calligra.org.
