Heroes of Newerth, the game that's had a Linux client available from the start and back in 2009 excited many Linux gamers as we gave away thousands of early access keys to the game, has released a major new version of the game.

Heroes of Newerth is a multiplayer online battle game out of S2 Games and version 3.0 was released today. Heroes of Newerth 3.0 introduces AI bots, new features, much improved in-game visuals, and other new functionality.

Heroes of Newerth 2.0 was released in 2010 while today there's finally a major update. Since the original game release, "HoN" has went free to play. Below are a few videos about Heroes of Newerth 3.0 that were produced by S2 Games while more information on the major game update with its native Linux client can be found at HeroesOfNewerth.com.
