AMD Catalyst 13.2 Beta Driver For Linux Released

Posted by Michael Larabel on January 29, 2013

An AMD Catalyst "13.2 Beta 3" driver has surfaced on the Internet for Linux users relying upon this binary blob for graphics acceleration on Radeon and FirePro graphics hardware.

As pointed out here (with a download link), the Catalyst 13.2 Beta 3 Linux (x86/x86_64) driver is now available. However, release notes are not.

Oddly enough, I'm not even aware of the changes to be found in this latest beta since it doesn't look like a version that I had pre-release access to this time around. Fortunately, as Linux users begin to try out this Catalyst 13.2 driver in beta state, there will surely be comments with feedback about this new build that's surely to be found within the Phoronix Forums.
