While
Fedora 18 will see
its final release soon and the x86/x86_64 Beta has been
out since late November, only now is the Fedora 18 Beta shipping for ARM.
The Fedora 18 Beta ARM was announced on Wednesday by Red Hat's Paul Whalen. The supported Fedora ARM platforms for this cycle are Versatile Express (QEMU), Trimslice (Tegra), Pandaboard (OMAP4), GuruPlug (Kirkwood), and Beagleboard (OMAP3) hardware platforms. There's also a install tree in the yum repository with PXE-boot support to do a kickstart-based installation on systems like the Calxeda EnergyCore HighBank servers.
The Fedora 18 Beta ARM announcement can be found on
the mailing list. Additional information on this new ARM beta can be found from
the Fedora Project Wiki.
