KDE 4.10 RC1 Released

The KDE development camp has announced the immediate availability of the first release candidate for the forthcoming KDE 4.10 release.

Among the features of KDE 4.10 is greater use of Qt Quick in KDE Plasma Workspaces, a new screen locker, animated wallpaper support, faster indexing, color correction support, a new print manager, enhancements to the KATE text editor, and better notifications with Qt Quick.

More details on KDE 4.10 can be found in the release announcement at KDE.org. The final release of KDE 4.10 is slated to happen in January.
