The open-source "Alien Arena: Reloaded" title will be released next week with a number of improvements.

John Diamond, the CEO of COR Entertainment LLC, has shared with Phoronix that the plan is to release Alien Arena: Reloaded on 6 July. The Alien Arena: Reloaded Edition game will feature twelve new levels, two new player characters, and an innovative new weapon when it comes to the game assets.

This next Alien Arena release also features improvements to the CRX engine's renderer, improvements to player movement, anti-lag enhancements, and bot/AI improvements. When it comes to the CRX renderer improvements there's optimizations, new effects, and other features. The CRX engine is a significantly derived version of the id Tech 2 engine, but is one of the few open-source games that doesn't look awful.

Embedded below is a trailer for the forthcoming Alien Arena: Reloaded.
