Posted by Michael Larabel on September 28, 2012

The OpenStack Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud computing platform has now released version 2012.2 Folsom.

New to the OpenStack Folsom release are new block storage (Cinder) and virtual networking (Quantum) components. Quantum and Cinder join various other components as part of the OpenStack core system.

As a cloud computing platform update isn't of interest to Phoronix readers en masse, for those wishing to learn more see the blog release announcement and the release notes for OpenStack Folsom.
