GStreamer 1.0.0 Is Due Next Weekend, Final Pre-Release

Posted by Michael Larabel on September 19, 2012

The last planned pre-release of GStreamer 1.0 has surfaced in anticipation of releasing this long-awaited version next weekend.

We have known for a while that GStreamer 1.0 would be coming soon and that it would be released prior to the GNOME 3.6 release this month. Released yesterday was version 0.11.99 of GStreamer core, GST-Plugins-Base, and GST-Plugins-Good/Bad/Ugly and GST-Libav.

Tim-Philipp Müller announced when releasing these 0.11.99 packages that they expect for this to be the last pre-release before 1.0.0, which is due next weekend.

More details can be found in this mailing list announcement.
