KDE 4.8.3 is now available.

The KDE development community has announced KDE SC 4.8.3 as the latest monthly point release to the KDE 4.8 desktop. Details can be found at KDE.org. Overall it's just a bunch of bug-fixes, translation updates, and the usual maintenance items.

Meanwhile, KDE 4.9 is due for release at the beginning of August per its release schedule. The KDE 4.9 feature plan is on techbase.kde.org.

In related KDE news, Martin Gräßlin blogged today about profiling of KDE's KWin.
