New Enlightenment EFL Package Releases

Posted by Michael Larabel on March 24, 2012

There's new releases of some key EFL -- Enlightenment Foundation Libraries -- packages. This round of Enlightenment package updates has also introduced some new components.

New to the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries is Eio, Ethumb, Emotion, and Elementary. Emotion is a video playback library that works with GStreamer / Xine / other external plug-ins (e.g. VLC) to display video within Evas. Eio is an a-sync I/O API. Next up, Ethumb is a FreeDesktop.org-compliant thumbnail generator library that is implemented as a D-Bus service, and Elementary is Enlightenment's new widget set.

Other package updates include Eina, Eet, Evas, Ecore, Embryo, Edje, Efreet, E_dbus, Eeze, Expedite, and Evas Generic Loaders.

More details are available from this Enlightenment.org post.
