Naming Fedora 18, The Beefy Miracle Successor

Posted by Michael Larabel on March 20, 2012

There's two months until Fedora 17, which is codenamed the Beefy Miracle, is officially released. However, already getting underway is the codename proposal period for Fedora 18. What will succeed the Beefy Miracle?

Name suggestions for Fedors 18 is happening now on the Fedora Project Wiki followed by the voting period. As usual and sure to make things interesting this round: You must be able to truthfully complete the sentence "Beefy Miracle is a ..., and so is YOUR_NAME."

The Fedora 18 codename proposal period just got underway last night, but there's already a host of possible names for F18 from Tandoori Chicken, Dachshund, Juicy Bacon, Wonderful Coffee, Tusker Whammy, Deep Fried Tofu, and Creamy Belief. I'm still holding out for Bratwurst and Schweinshaxe.

The chosen Fedora 18 codename will be announced towards the middle of April.
