LLVM 3.6.1 Brings R600 & MIPS Fixes

The first point release to the LLVM 3.6 compiler stack is now available.

Tom Stellard of AMD announced today's LLVM 3.6.1 release. The highlights for this update include many bug-fixes for LLVM on MIPS, bug fixes for the AMD R600/AMDGPU LLVM back-end, and bug fixes for various core libraries. The AMD GPU LLVM back-end changes include important fixes for AMD Volcanic Islands hardware.

The release announcement for LLVM 3.6.1 can be read on the LLVM mailing list. Meanwhile, all major feature development is currently focused on LLVM 3.7 for release before the end of the summer.
