Last month there was a long overdue development update on Kdenlive, an open-source video editor associated with the KDE camp. Today comes more exciting news for anyone using this video editor on Linux.

Coming out of the Kdenlive camp today is confirmation that this video editor will be added to the KDE Applications stack for the forthcoming KDE Applications 15.04 release. Kdenlive managed its Qt5 + KDE Frameworks 5 porting in time for the freeze deadline and thus is allowing it to be in as part of the next KDE Apps release.

KDE Applications 15.04 will be released in April. More information regarding Kdenlive on KDE Frameworks 5 and as part of the next KDE Applications release can be found via Kdenlive.org.
