Fedora 25 Alpha Has Been Delayed
It looks like Fedora 25 will be continuing the trend set by most Fedora Linux releases: delays.
The Fedora 25 Alpha release hasn't yet come out and has already been challenged by its first one week delay. At today's Go/No-Go meeting it was decided that Fedora 25 Alpha isn't ready for release due to missed blocker bugs. Another meeting will take place next week to see if it's yet ready.
Blocking the release are bugs around glibc packaging, a efibootmgr/efivar Anaconda installer issue, cloud images failing to compose, a FreeIPA-related login issue, and and there are other proposed blockers. Details here.
Confirmation of the delay via the mailing list. Fedora 25 has been scheduled to be released on 8 November, which would make a lovely birthday present once again, but if the delays push back the entire schedule it doesn't look like that will happen.
For Fedora 26 they are already planning for a mid-May release and have still been talking about getting rid of future Alpha releases if they can raise the quality of their daily packages/images to bring them on par of always being at least alpha quality.
