Kano: hi redeeman
Kano: redeeman: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=143037
Kano: did you try?
redeeman: Kano: i have not tried it yet, have you?
Kano: with kde 3.5 of course
Kano: i dont use kde 4
Kano: lots of kanotix users use it already
Kano: hi michaellarabel
michaellarabel: Hi Kano
Kano: do you go to ccc?
Kano: http://events.ccc.de/congress/2009/wiki/Welcome
michaellarabel: No, I wasn't aware of that, but will check it out on their web-site and possibly attend.
Kano: well if i would be in berlin i would go there
michaellarabel: Is that event mostly in English or German? Not sure that my German would be good enough to listen to an entire track in it.
Kano: i guess there are lots of users speaking english
michaellarabel: hmmm though the projects/workshop schedule doesn't look too particularly interesting.
Kano: dont know, i am not in berlin. maybe 4-5h away with fastest train
michaellarabel: I see one or two keynotes I may go to...
Kano: i do not intent to pay the train tickets, if somebody else does i would go there ;)
Kano: btw. could you update the fglrx repo
Kano: and where is the unigine heaven for linux?
michaellarabel: Haven't heard from Unigine Corp when the final version of Heaven will be out... should have been this week
Kano: they could have posted a beta too...
Kano: was something missing in the demo you tested
Kano: checking fglrx-packaging.diff:
Kano: 13 files changed, 13 insertions(+)
Ivanovic: Kano: do you know if there is a way atm to get fglrx (no matter if beta or release) to work with xorg-server 1.7.x?
Kano: i do not know if beta releases with this
Kano: normal release no way
Ivanovic: okay, good to know
Kano: best stay away from it if you want to use fglrx
Ivanovic: i don't really want to use it
Ivanovic: just want to be (more) sure if i can get it somehow back into my system again as option to eg play the ankh series or jack keane
Ivanovic: world of goo is already working perfectly with 2.6.32 using the OSS driver (mesa git master)
Ivanovic: sacred gold can be started and has about 10 to 15fps, so not too bad for a start either
Ivanovic: it is just that, when i last tried it, jack keane resulted in the graphics card not wanting to show me anything at all...
Kano: well i only test r600 with fedora live
Kano: not more
Ivanovic: gentoo unstable with xf86-video-ati, libdrm and mesa from git (master)
Kano: just tried latest fedora , but that segfaulted
Kano: even with glxinfo
