Kano: thats really funny as the file is not available to dl ,)
Kano: hi michaellarabel , i think the 9-10 release article was a bit too early
Kano: the file is not even now on the server
rm: stupid ati
rm: anyone reported 404 on their Catalyst 9.10?
Ivanovic: try a different mirror
rm: Ivanovic, any idea how to do that? http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.5&lang=English
Ivanovic: then, uhm, maybe just wait a day?
michaellarabel: hi bkero
LordHavoc: mmm
LordHavoc: I got DisplayPort working on my Radeon HD 5870
LordHavoc: but my third monitor shuts off
LordHavoc: I basically can get any two monitors active
LordHavoc: at least I think so
LordHavoc: trying unplugging the middle one to see if it makes the right one come on
LordHavoc: so... Radeon 5870 DisplayPort+DVI+DVI = no go, any two monitors can show up (just unplugging one and restarting X makes the other two work), xrandr shows all 3 active but one of them has no signal
michael_: LordHavoc: That is changing in a future update, as I mentioned in a previous article.
LordHavoc: michael_: oh?
LordHavoc: wonders which article
michaellarabel: Probably the HD 5770/5750 review
LordHavoc: found it in there on page 3
LordHavoc: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=amd_juniper&num=3
LordHavoc: the oddest thing is that only two monitors get signal during BIOS POST too
LordHavoc: and consoles
LordHavoc: I should buy the 5870 Eyefinity when it comes out, so that I can *really* complain :)
LordHavoc: ;)
LordHavoc: 2 of 6 ports working would be a justifiable complaint
LordHavoc: I'll probably move this card to my win7 machine when that comes in, the only reason I've been using it on my Linux machine is for eyefinity but it doesn't work
bkero: dirt
